We’ve extended the deadline for POPQuiz 2, but we’d like to celebrate the participants who wandered into the darkness first. Here are some highlights.

Even patents aren’t immune to the power of Dracula’s bite.

For this week’s POPQuiz, we are looking for Dracula-inspired patents that maximize a highly arbitrary score we’ll call the VI, also known as the Vlad Index. Or Vampire Index.

At least two Romanian inventors, one past, one present, have both developed a type of device that would be illegal in one small town in France. Video records of one such device exist.
