The Patent Olympiad is framed as a contest, but it is more than that: it is a celebration. And, like similar festive events, part of our aim is to create community, and a sense of pride in that community.

Patent searching often seems esoteric. Many outside the realm of intellectual property have no idea what patent search is, or why it matters. They have no idea why there are tools for it, or special courses, or what it takes to be really, really good at it.

We'd like that to change

We want patent searchers to take pride in what they do. We want them to be fantastic at it. And we want others to realize just how amazing this profession can be. If you’re a part of the patent information community, then you know why the work you do matters.

We have three tiers for major sponsors – i.e., those sponsors who would like to contribute at levels of 1000 EUR or more: Diamond, Sapphire, and Ruby.

These tiers offer the most visibility for your organization and the greatest opportunities for engagement with our audiences. They also give us at Patent Olympiad the most flexibility to make decisions for the event in a timely way.

All your contributions go to ensuring that the Patent Olympiad is a welcoming, celebratory event, that it runs smoothly, and that the key organizing volunteers are there to make the event happen.

patent olympiad training camp & Popquiz

Patent Olympiad Training Camp and POPQuiz are two new features we have added to connect with our audiences pre-event.

Patent Olympiad Training Camp is an online summit designed to deliver helpful educational webinars as part of a multi-day virtual event. The event is planned for late September - early October.

POPQuiz is our series of time-limited, public mini-challenges of patent search skills delivered via the POdium blog and social media.
